Organic Livestock

All the stock at Salle Organics contribute to the agricultural rotation. All the animals eat only organic feed. And apart from times when we are starting a new livestock enterprise or expanding rapidly, all the stock are bred here on our farm. Their staple is home grown grass, supplemented by organic winter fuel like fodder beet, gradeout carrots or vegetables, organic feed beans and organic triticale. Both calves and lambs live a charmed life, suckling from their Mums until they are weaned. Then they grow and fatten up in the home meadows and in their winter quarters on fresh straw. We don't think they have much to stress about.
